In an effort to disseminate findings of my research to academic audiences, share my experiences with non-academic publics and give back to the community, I take part in conferences, symposia, and public discussions, I voluntarily participate in the activity of cultural companies, non-for-profit organisations, and social enterprises and I contribute to academic services.
I tend to present my research work at international marketing, arts, and cultural studies/management/policy conferences, such as the Association for Consumer Research Conference (ACRC), Consumer Culture Theory Conference (CCTC), Transformative Consumer Research Conference (TCR), European Marketing Association Conference (EMAC), Royal Geographical Society Conference (RBS, IBG), International Dance Conference, Academy of Marketing Conference (AM), Place Management and Branding Conference.
I have also participated as a PhD student in workshops, seminars, and masterclasses, such as the Canon of Classics, Birkbeck’s Critical Theory Summer School, and various Interpretive and Consumer Culture Theory Doctoral Seminars.
This year, I am aiming at taking part at the International Conference on Arts and Cultural Management (AIMAC), the Consumer Culture Theory Conference (CCTC), the International Visual and Performing Arts Conference (ATINER), the Interpretive Consumer Research Conference (ICR) and the International Marketing Conference (ATINER).
I often participate in public discussions for non-academic audiences on the subjects of my interest, I offer courses on arts marketing and entrepreneurship to independent artists, and I work with industry professionals for public events, presentations, and wider collaborations. I also involve industry professionals in my university classes, I participate in arts community projects, and I take part in networks that support cultural entrepreneurship, policy, and diplomacy. Furthermore, I participate in different organising committees that present talented emerging artists in London and in Athens.
I am a Fellow at the Royal Society of Arts (RSA), a member of the Sadler’s Wells, and a member of the Association for Consumer Research (ACR), the Consumer Culture Theory Consortium (CCTC), the European Marketing Academy (EMA), the European Network on Cultural Management and Policy (ENCATC), the Transformative Consumer Research (TCR), the Academy of Marketing (AM) and the Royal Geographical Society (RGS). I have presented at and reviewed for leading cultural management and marketing conferences, including ACR, EMAC, CCTC, TCR, RGS and AM. I am currently participating in the Journal of Consumer Research (JCR) Reviewer Trainee programme.
